Painology Library

Recordings, practices, and programmes to support your nervous system and wellbeing

The Painology Library brings together the different ways you can engage with Painology - from short supportive audios to structured programmes for deeper change.

Some resources are freely available as gentle support or orientation. Others are paid programmes that offer more structured, step-by-step guidance.

There’s no expectation to move through these in a particular order. You’re welcome to browse, explore, or simply take what feels useful right now.

Free recordings & introductions

These resources are offered freely as part of Painology’s commitment to accessible, low-pressure support and orientation.

They give you a way to experience how Painology works and to access supportive recordings you can return to over time.

These recordings are accessed through the Painology portal. Once you’ve created a free login, you can return to them whenever you need.

Supportive practices & guides

Alongside the programmes, Painology also offers supportive resources you can use in everyday life.

Painology

Practices

Written practice guides that introduce and support body-based practices such as meditation, body scans, and CALM-based practices.

Painology

Companions

Written guides that sit alongside the Practices, explaining:

  • why a practice works

  • what’s happening in the body or nervous system

  • what’s normal to notice or experience

Painology

Pauses

Short, accessible audios designed for moments when a full practice feels like too much.

You don’t need to force change for it to happen

Painology is an ecosystem of support designed to create change at a neuro-emotional level - not through willpower or positive thinking, but by working with how the brain and nervous system actually learn.

Some people come here for relief.

Others come because stress, pain, or emotional reactions keep repeating, even when they understand them logically.

Start here

Choose one option

You don’t need a diagnosis.

You don’t need motivation.

You don’t need to understand everything first.

You just need a starting point.

Option 1

Find your starting point

(2 minutes)

If you want clarity quickly, you can take a short quiz designed to help you understand where you’re at right now.

It helps you:

  • recognise patterns behind physical pain, overwhelm or shutdown

  • see where you may be on the Painology Pathway

  • understand what would help next

It’s not a test.

There are no right or wrong answers.

Just information that often brings relief and clarity.

Option 2

Begin with a gentle practice

(5 minutes)

If you don’t want to think or analyse, you can start with a short, body-based practice.

This option is often helpful if:

  • you’re exhausted or overloaded

  • your body feels tense, wired or shut down

  • you want to feel a difference before reading more

You don’t need to feel calm.

You don’t need to do it ‘right’.

Just start where you are.

That’s where the neuro-emotional reconditioning programmes come in.

They’re grounded in neuroscience, psychology, and real-world experience - designed to create change at an unconscious level, where habits, emotional responses, and stress patterns are formed.

Not by pushing, but by gently retraining the system into safer, more regulated states.

There’s no pressure to decide anything now. Just an invitation to notice what resonates, and to explore further when you’re ready to feel clearer, calmer, and more at ease.

This library isn’t here to convince you.

It’s here because change is possible - and you deserve support that actually works.

Or you can stop here for now.

One step is enough.

A final thing worth knowing

Most people who find Painology say the same thing:

‘I didn’t realise how much I’d been fighting my body - until I stopped.’

This work exists to offer a different way forward.

One that begins with awareness and understanding,

and often changes far more than people expect.
